February 2015: RORC Caribbean 600 Race

Offshore racing around tropical islands in shorts

This is a 600 mile race, starting and finishing in Antigua:  the start is on Monday 23 February, so join us on 20 February for three days of pre race preparation and training. The race takes between 4-5 days, prior to prize giving on Friday, 27 February.

What is the RORC 600?

This will be the seventh RORC 600 race, which attracts competitors from all over the world.  It's becoming a 'must do' offshore race, on a par with the RORC Fastnet.  It offers fantastic sailing conditions as well as an intricate course, weaving though eleven Caribbean islands.  It is designed to challenge the enthusiastic and adventurous sailor!

If you relish the opportunity to race offshore, around tropical islands in shorts and a great breeze, then join us for a fantastic experience.

With our professional skipper and crew you will spend three days training in the waters around Antigua before the preparation day and starting the race.  Depending on conditions, 4-5 days later, the finishing line and a welcome party await, with the exciting atmosphere ashore in English Harbour.

The cost of each individual place is £1,995.  The price includes:

  • Your place on the RORC Caribbean 600, onboard Zenara
  • Pre-racing training
  • Ocean Yachtmaster skipper and crew
  • All food and provisions whilst on board at sea
  • Race entry fee
  • All boat costs, including fuel, gas, berthing and safety equipment

You pay for flights, shoreside accommodation and your own personal insurance.
